Problem: Replay Media Catcher doesn't capture after upgrading to Internet Explorer 8I have problem with Replay Media Catcher 3.02 since 'upgrading' my web browser from Internet Explorer 7 to IE 8 a couple of weeks ago. I cannot capture anything now, although it worked okay with IE7.
I also have Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome installed as alternative browsers, and Media Catcher works perfectly with it, so the problem seems to be related to IE 8 only. |
Re: Problem: Replay Media Catcher doesn't capture after upgrading to Internet ExploreI can capture streams from I.E. 8 again with Replay Media Catcher after turning off Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
What is Data Execution Prevention (DEP) Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that helps prevent damage from viruses and other security threats by monitoring your programs to make sure they use system memory safely. If you choose to protect all programs, you can still turn off DEP for individual programs. If you suspect that a program does not run correctly when DEP is turned on, check for a DEP-compatible version of the program or an update from the software publisher before you change any DEP settings. If you are logged on as an administrator, you can manually configure DEP to switch between the OptIn and OptOut policies by using the Data Execution Prevention tab in System Properties. The following procedure describes how to manually configure DEP on the computer: How to Change Data Execution Prevention (DEP) settings
