Any way to record / save streaming .mov from ibsen.dartmouth.edu?

 

Hi .. there is this site.. / resource

and they gave me access to it (login / pass) to be able to listen to some audio material they got...

I can listen to it...

It's all in Quicktime (.mov) there i think..

but i tried to grab it from there (with many utilities and tricks) - and could NOT

for example.. - here is one song (not sure if you can play it without login there .. but here is the link:

(that one i got from "Page Source")

browser doesn't go there.. .. but it's the same link / file name that i saw download managers and utilities try to d/l .. but it just hangs there.. without d/l (at the download managers / utilities)

Can go there though i think just by:

and when there .. the player should start playing the song / by you clicking on it.. (for me anyhow)

but then again .. can't take it..

Nothing worked for me including Quicktime Pro even..
when click in it "Save" .. it does save the file .. (with the correct file name).. but the file is only like 1 kb .. - so useless :(

Same thing with few other utilities .. - if they can d/l it .. - the file size is like the same - 1 kb or so..

See if any of you can d/l it somehow .. or know some trick "how to" :)

Thanks - ya.. tiried those already ...

HiD - didn't go...
MovRecorder - didn't go...
QT Pro - doesn't go (downloads the file .. but the file size is only1 kb (corrent name though - filename.mov)_

VLC - can't remember if tried.. - either didn't go or didn't try yet..

Wonder if doesn't go cuz i have Vista?

But other stuff i can grab.. - from Flash, etc .. with Orbit etc...

Just this mov / rtsp doesn't grab..
However found some s/w that can record while it playing.. - but song by song though.. - real time recording basically

Few programs support RTSP .mov streams and I wish this support was better.

You may record from your sound card using direct sound recording software like freeware Ask & Record Toolbar or Audacity. Replay Music is another direct sound recorder, but besides recording it can split songs and tag some of them automatically.
