Removing DRM from ATRAC for free

 

Hey Guys,

I have a sony walkman and I have purchased over the years some music from sony's connect service. (its like itunes).

Anyways, I now have a blackberry storm and would like to put my purchased sony music onto it, but I cant because the file format isnt compatible. Normally I would convert the format and transfer, but these files are DRM protected.

I found Soundtaxi out there that convert protected ATRAC to unprotected MP3

Anyways,

Sony's quick fix (as well as Apples) is to, rip the songs to CD than burn them onto your computer. WELL SCREW THAT! like the rest of you i purchased a lot of music and I am not doing that.

Any free programs out there that will remove DRM from ATRAC files?

Hi please tell me you found a solution to this problem. I 'm in an equally desperate situation. 10 years of music on a crappy sony system with no obvious means of escape.

Although I can't suggest you free software, you can use paid software like Soundtaxi
