Using freeware VLC for playing TVants

To use VLC for playing TVants:
  1. Open a link in TVants.
  2. Once it's buffered, right click on the picture -> "copy" the .asf address
  3. Then close the viewer and leave the TVants program running in the backround or just in the taskbar. TVants and the channel must be running in order for VLC to be able to play the stream.
  4. Open VLC
  5. Go to "Media" -> "Open Network..."
  6. Select the HTTP protocol
  7. "Paste" the .asf URL address into the "Address" editbox.
  8. Hit the "Play" button.
