Unable to record a Flash rtmp:// stream with WM Recorder

Im trying to use WM Recorder 12 to record a flash stream from a site.

The site used to use WMV and it would record fine. But now they switched to flash, and WMR doesn't record the video.

It picks up something, but it only records like .13 MB of data and then makes no more progress.

Under URL it says rtmp://some_file_name_with_no_extension

It is a live stream, if it makes any difference.

Any ideas?

Re: Unable to record a Flash stream

Can you please provide me with the URL of the video you're trying to record, so I can trouble shoot the issue?

Also, you may want to try Replay Media Catcher ...as it's more a flash recording program than WM Recorder , which is more for windows media, real player, and SOME flash.

WM Recorder really need a better support of RTMP streams. So far you can try other RTMP Flash stream recorders like Replay Media Catcher.

I tried Replay Media Catcher, but as soon as it detects the video, the vid comes up in the main window but the size stays at zero bytes. then the program closes abruptly.

Bit Recorder seems like it may work, however ill have to test out the live stream tomorrow when it's playing.

Replay Media Catcher can show 0 kb for several seconds, but it doesn't usually closes itself abruptly unless you use a cracked version.

If you don't wanna share the URL here, you can go to www.applian.com and submit a support ticket.
