what about recording zattoo channels?

hi guys

I just discovered zattoo, which is a cool software to watch live-tv.
I use it right now on linux and kubuntu.
But what about recording the streams ?
Did anybody already try around here?

I'm in the USA myself, and Apparently that site is not avaiable for my country, as I got this message:

You seem to be accessing the Zattoo website from a country we do not yet serve. Please enter your country of residence below, and when our service is available there, we will contact you.

What country are you in, do you know what countries it works in?

Zattoo is a p2p player. You can try to record it with PPRecorder or screen video capture software

ok thanks, i will have a look at p2p tv recorder first. :)
Then, for sure you can always capture the screen anyway, but that is not very practical to say the least.

Re: Recording p2p (peer-to-peer) TV channels

well, i just tried pprecorder. But anyway zattoo is not belonging to it's list for a beginning unfortunately.
Then i tried to sniff some urls, with URL Snooper, then with url helper, but with no result at all! nothing is showing up! Tried NetTransport as well

So zattoo looks like a tough nut to crack. Is everything encrypted from a to z, so nothing is recordable at all?
I used to think "if you can play it on the pc, it must be recordable!" Am i wrong in this case? (except recording the screen of course!:)

screen video capture software can record almost anything you can see on your screen

Well thanks a lot, that is all right i think of course with screen recorders :)
But i am really looking for an alternative way of registering those channels, discovering the real url's.
No way you think?

I can't use Zattoo, 'coz my country is not supported yet.

Most of the streams can be recorded with WM Recorder and Replay Media Catcher. You can use their free demo version to try to record from Zattoo.

Zatto has some incredibly tight & faceless obfuscation technology.

We 'll have to wait for the bigger guys to break this thing.
