How to burn DVD with WMV file type videos (VOB files were converted to WMV)?

this is ipshita...
I m facing a problem in burning DVD
Initially the file type was vob which i converted into wmv file type using s/w "iSofter DVD Ripper Deluxe"..
now the problem is that windows media player is not able to burn dvd with this type of file....nor do i hv Nero...
however using the same software i can convert it into avi file type...but m not sure whether this type of file can play in any standaloneDVD player...
plz help me..

Hi

Generally a dvd player will not work with wmv files, you would need to convert to (most likely) mpeg-4 which SHOULD work with your dvd player.

It is a very bad idea to convert VOB files to WMV and then convert WMV files to DVD-Video format.

You may use DVD re-authoring software to edit your DVD-Video or VOB files and buring them to DVD-Video. Make sure the software does lossless video editing only.

Why do you need to burn VOB files to DVD? Do you wanna convert DVD9 disc to DVD5?
