"Running this process under a debugger while using DRM content is not allowed."

Hi, I was trying to get drmdbg to work, and was wondering why windows media player would crash whenever I loaded any drm files through drmdbg. If I load the file first and then open drmdbg I will get this error message from windows media player. "Running this process under a debugger while using DRM content is not allowed."

I have version 11.0.5721.5230, which from looking through topics here some people have gotten to work, so why the error message? If it was some update that I have downloaded is there anyway to fix the problem (i.e. downgrading windows media player e.t.c)?

If i use drmdbg 'normally', it will load the file, i will get a windows media player error and needs to end. I do however get a SID/KID, but this changes everytime i do it. If i put the file through freeme2 the file it creates is a green screen video with no sound....i believe the error is causing this?

Please try the following:
  1. Click Start -> Run, type msconfig and run it.
  2. Select the Boot tab
  3. Click Advanced options
  4. Uncheck Debug under Detect hal
  5. Dismiss Advanced options dialogue by clicking OK
  6. Check Make all boot settings permanent in msconfig dialogue
  7. Click Apply
  8. Click Yes to warning dialogue
  9. Dismiss msconfig dialogue by clicking OK
  10. Restart your computer (essential for new boot settings to take effect).

You have the DEBUG option and it is unchecked on the screenshot.
