Audacity won't record streaming audio from my sound card: No Stereo Mix (Windows)

 

When I go to View > Float Mixer Toolbar. In the drop-down menu on Audacity’s mixer toolbar, Neither “Wave Out” or “Stereo Mix” is listed as the input source options....just can choose "Line In", "Internal Mic", "External Mic"
Can anyone help? :confused:

What kind of sound card do you have? Does it support a duplex mode?

Please try to record with freeware Freecorder Toolbar or Jaksta Free Media Recorder.

Thanks for the help....the Sound Card is listed as Sigma Tel Audio

I tried the Freecorder toolbar...and no signal :(

I found the problem! :)
I was able to download a new driver directly from Dell for the Sigma Tel

You need to start recording with Freecorder Toolbar first and then open an application you would like to record from.
