removing FairPlay from iTunes 7.6.2.9I would like to know if anyone knows of any software that will strip the DRM from songs purchased in iTunes 7.6.2.9. Up until I downloaded this version, I have always been able to uninstall the one I had, reinstall version 6 and use a program called QTFairUse 6 to convert my m4p files to m4a and then reinstall iTunes 7. However, since I got the latest version, that trick no longer seems to work.
I would like to find a program that does a straight conversion to m4a, not mp3. I know that I can burn the songs to CD and then re-rip them to m4a but I really want to avoid that if at all possible. I don't have "golden ears" but I know that this degrades the files. I welcome any suggestions. Incidentally, I am Canadian so the US DMCA does not apply to me... thank goodness! |
Re: removing FairPlay from iTunes 7.6.2.9I don't think GTFairUse works with iTunes 7.6.2.9. I had to downgrade and rebuild my library so that it would work.
