Ad insertion before live stream

I am a newbie here so please excuse my stupidity..I am trying to find out how to emded audio and or video into my media player before the beginning of my live stream of our events, can someone please help???:confused:

You can probably use JavaScript or VBScipt to change the URL of a video in the embedded media player.

If you wanna do it on a server side, it really depends on a streaming server you use.

I'm not an expert in this kind of things. I think that it can be done by using scripts on the web-page as well as on a server side (it could be a streaming server or a server that provides playlists).
