Removing DRM protection from M4V files from iPod: Nothing is working for me!

So basically, I'm looking to transfer files from an iPod I acquired to my computer. The problem is, because of the DRM, I cannot play anything through iTunes or anything so no program (i.e. Soundtaxi and Tunebite) will work.

I'm currently working with M4V files, and don't even know if the whole rip/burn technique will work (besides the fact that I don't have a DVD burner...)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Rip and burn works fine for audio files, but you need valid licenses that allow you to play your copy-protected files anyway.

Even if you don't have a CD/DVD burner you can use rip/burn technique even without Note Burner:
  • Create an Audio CD from music files
  • Then instead of burning them to a blank CD, save a CD image to you hard drive.
  • Mount the CD Image with software like freeware Daemon Tools. It will look like you have a CD Drive with an Audio CD in it.
  • Rip music files from your Audio CD
  • Unmount the CD Image and delete the CD Image file.

As for M4V files, I repeat, you need valid licenses that allow you to play the video files to be able to remove DRM protection from the.
