you can change the "windows10" in the end to:
windows, desktop, appletv, chromecast, samsungTV, tvOS, ios, android, ott, and windows10

why i can't play or record these live events ? btw i already logged in to my account when i tried these m3u8 links i can watch NBC sports no problem, but i want to watch & record NBA games

can someone with knowledge explain it to me why i can't play these links ? why they block the connection immediately.. it's my ip ? or it's cookie thing or what ?

Which one of the links within that page are you trying to get? Some have drm and some don't. I think most of the NBA ones have drm, but you'd have to check them individually.

Appears to be UTC?

I guess it is over now but you could still record it from the archive that is left up, if for some reason you want the video for the game even though it is over.

How do you usually play/record hls (m3u8) sources? ffmpeg? livestreamer? streamlink? vlc?

This particular one should record okay.

yes i use ffmpeg / livestreamer but when i try i get 403 forbidden error

That error probably means that the token/auth value is expired, corrupt or missing.

Does the m3u8 url that you are using with livestreamer look like this;

I checked your video and it worked. If your m3u8 url has the format above and it is not expired, then I have no other ideas about why it is not working for you. Sorry.

you said you play in your browser. the link that your browser fetches when it plays should look like that.

so we can't record or play these m3u8 links directly from this page ? this is what i was asking for, i want to record these links directly, yes i cant play "some" of these events in my browser when i log in but most of them i can't, i can't play NBC Sports Regional Networks streams like CSN Philadelphia..etc.. i can see there is NBA game going on at CSN Bay Area i can see the link to the stream from the page above but i can't do anything with it.. this was my question can we use these links directly.
