Amazon/Netflix download tool - Please help with encoding raw video

Hello Everyone.
First time poster, long time lurker here. How is it going?

Is anybody here exprienced with encoding .raw video files? I managed to buy this download tool (private buy, not publicly available and not for sale) and I'm able to download *purchased* Amazon Video titles as .raw files which are HUGE, insanely huge, around 70GB\Hour for 480p SD content (!).

I don't know how to encode or inspect these files. I tried ffmpeg from a thread here about Netflix and wireshark but it only encodes the video and not audio for some reason.

How can one inspect such .raw files to see their a\v properties (res, bitrate, etc...) ? Is this .raw file supposed to be a container like mkv mp4 avi?

Thanks for your help!

This sounds like the result of a lossless capture, not a straight download. Are you sure the tool you bought is actually downloading the source, and not just recording a stream?

That is the way that most versions of the tool work. They save the raw output off the CDM. There are reports/rumors of new versions of the tool that do web-dl. Nobody I know who has the old tool has seen the new version.

I am pretty sure that "Raw" files only can contain video.
