To convert .FLV videos the following PC software can be used:
  • MediaCoder (Freeware/Windows)
  • Riva FLV Encoder (Freeware/Windows) - batch conversion can be done only if you own Riva Producer or Riva Producer Lite. What else can you expect from a free converter? ;)
  • SUPER (Freeware/Windows)

How to convert .flv video files to play on PSP using freeware video to PSP converters
How to convert .flv files to play on iPod using freeware video to iPod converters
How to convert YouTube videos to MP3 using freeware software
Since most FLV video files use MP3 audio, the best choice is to extract it and avoid recompression.

How to convert flash .FLV videos to DivX, Xvid,... using freeware AviSynth and VirtualDub (Windows):
  • Get an FLV Splitter, install ffdshow and enable the FLV1 decoder (I use K-Lite codec pack).
  • Install AVISynth.
  • Use VirtualDub or your AVI encoder of choice.
