Replay A/V 8 problem with HW detection: can't find both USB web cam & TV Tuner

 

Hi,

I have Replay AV 8.41 and decided to test out its Web Cam Capture and the TV tuner card capture. The SW says that it can't find any of the HW.

I have a USB attached Creative Web Cam (which other SW e.g. Yahoo IM, eyeBeam etc.) can use just fine. I also have a WinTV card as well which I use with several SW packages too.

How can I teach Replay to detect my HW?

As for a USB web-cam, you can try freeware SplitCam. It works with USB web-cams. You can not only clone your web-cam, but also try to use it in applications that don't work with USB web-cams.


As for TV Tuner, I tried software for TV Tuners from Nero, AVS, as well as Replay AV. IMHO software that comes with a TV Tuner is much better.

All native TV Tuner software that I use (and have used before) is able to download TV listings from the Internet, so that I can always know what program I'm watching and when it will end. Besides this allows to schedule TV show recordings easily. Besides there are many other useful features that I use, for example time shifting.
