Univision shenanigans

Hello!

I am a newbie with this kind of stuff. I want to download this video for my translation project (constantly trying to advance/rewind on the site in order to understand is painfully slow)

http://www.univision.com/deportes/fu...n-regalo-video

How can I download the video given SWF files are a combination of files (from what I've read thus far)?

Thank you so much!

BD

Re: Univision shenanigans

A SWF isn't always a simple container file like FLV, in the majority of cases it works as a browser media player plugin / applet to play external mp4 files etc via a given url string which can be found decompiling the swf and looking at it's source or sniffing traffic from http / tcp or in the case of live streams rtmp / rtsp.
SWF is old and should be a dead format in the next three years in favour of html5, Adobe have already abandoned it.

If you use FlashGot Media it'll show the .m3u8 address for every stream quality, this contains a .ts transport stream playlist

http://h.univision.com/media/469/16/...1401_6000.m3u8

http://ssl.p.jwpcdn.com/player/v/7.7...ayer.flash.swf

is the used swf.

You should be able to record the .ts packets with vlc, livestreamer or rtmpdump using this info.
