Trying to figure out how to capture these streams in preparation for the Olympics

 

Trying to figure out how to capture these streams in preparation for the Olympics. Already tried AdobeHDS, it only captures key frames. No go with Youtube dl. I have tried ffmpeg and livestreamer but may not have correct script.

Anyone make any progress on this?

I found the f4m manifest, but wasnt able to stream or capture it with livestreamer.

I did get the stream to open in a webbrowser hds player, but the stream is only live for about 9 seconds before it ends. And not much use for that either anyway.

Any advice?

For event replays, I have figured out a way to get these. Not sure if it is the best way, but it works. Something similar to what I did with the last winter olympics. I can help more later, and or show you what I did. Just busy at the moment and can't write out too much. Later I can, or PM me and I can help and post what I did afterwards to help others. Basically use the AdobeHDS link, run in debug mode -debug to get the quality of video you want, and audio. Keep track of the quality entries you will need to modify the AdobeHDS link with. Capture the audio as an flv, and then the video as an flv, remux with ffmpeg to an mp4. Again, I can go into more detail later if needed, but follow that thread i posted.

Thank you so much. I got it to work.

I only have one problem, the capture is 1920x1080 7mbps bitrate 29.97 fps 4.51 GB file size. With those stats the stream should be perfect yet still the video has pretty significant compression artifacting/blocking. Any ideas how to fix?
