Hi I have downloaded a m3u8 stream but it splits to many parts. Read this bellow

'Apple HTTP Live Segmenter. It takes an MPEG-TS stream from a tool like ffmpeg and breaks it up into multiple ts-segments suitable for HTTP Live streaming from devices like iPhones.'


so I need a way to join back all segments

I'm also not an expert on this. But usually, livestreamer can download .m3u8 links.

E.g:
livestreamer "hlsvariant://xxxx.m3u8" best -o test.file.mp4

PS: or do you can post the content of the m3u8 file?

ok and I have a second question
why Apple's http live streame cut video in parts? I have downloaded a hotstar video which has 215 parts each part with 5 sec duration....why.and I have given link wich I need to download plzz post the livestreamer code

flashy gave you the livestreamer code already, you just need to use your brain and enter the URL you just posted. The HTTP Live Streaming technology helps conserve bandwidth and provides reliable streaming to endpoints.

I cant understand why http live stream technology cut video in 215 parts....can I join it back after download?

I dont have the exact answer to your question but i have the direct download link for the m3u8 you have posted.

And its too easy to find this link just see the source of video page and look for '3gp'.

You will get this link: remove the blue part '/3gp' and change the extension of file to mp4.

hi thanks for the mp4 link: it is 106 mb....wow I have player which can download m3u8 video but the same file size was 87mb...ok thanks

my link uses ip address it will work on my ip address and it has expired for me also try download ad in firefox and open hotstar video when the video starts playing click on the ad blocker symbol and clik open blockable items and search for f4m copy address use livestreamer or ffmpeg to download. here u will get access to link.now I need a direct download link for episode....just try change replace mainfest.f4m to master.m3u8 in the link change z to I
