Live Streaming Quicktime recording???

rtsp://static-207-54-114-228.ptr.terago.ca/stream2.sdp

This is a live video stream of my church on Wednesdays at 8pm(et). Anyone have a clue how I'd go about recording this file? Is it a referral file? I can't seem to get any kind of info on it while it's offline. I don't have much experience scnatching quicktime streams. Anyone know a procedure to handle this .sdp without having to wait until next Wednesday to study it again?

I should add, I've tried Quicktime Recorder, but it won't grab it because the extension isn't an .mov, and NetTransport hasn't been able to grab anything on it either...

Recording RTSP QuickTime .SDP stream

I wasn't able connect to your server so I had problem trying it.

Usually such streams are broadcasted over UDP, but even if it will be broadcasted over RTP or TCP you will hardly be able to download it using HiDownload, , MovRecorder or any other stream downloader.

Besides the broadcasted video can be in a format like QuickTime, MPEG-4, 3GPP or even MPEG-4 AVC (h.264) so it is rather hard to make a universal recorder.

What to do then? Try to dump stream using VLC and MPlayer video players. Both are free open source projects.

Note that MPlayer may require an "RTP streaming patch".

Please let me know how it will be going.
