MPG Converter Suggestion Please !

Hey guys.

Im using Replay Video Capture to capture videos on my PC and the file size are getting really large than I expected. The saved videos are in mpg format, and I want to use some kind of converter to reduce the file size dramaticly while saving the quality as much as I can.

To which format I should convert and which programs I can use to do so ? I've tried to AVI 792mb file dropped to 39 but quality is really awful.

Looking for your suggestions.

Possibly mincoder. Not sure if it's still updated but, a lot of anime encoders use to use it to make very small .mkv files.

Thanks for the suggestion but I cant add .mpg files to that program. Search continues ..
