Find URL + RTMP, downloading stream + streaming using VLC

I've tried several times to start downloading stream using RTMPDUMP with the used of: RTMPDUMPhelper, and RTMPSRV and RTMPsuck.

1) What's the best working way to find all the details of a stream?
Is wireshark the best? Can wireshark find RTMPE? or just RTMP?

2) When do you need to put all these dashes: -w, -s, -f, -v - Any rules for it? - I didn't find simple tutorial for it.

3) I want to get the stream URL of Streamed radios,- What's the best way to do it?

please be informative.

A) Now, when I get the URL, can I streamed it through VLC - How?
B) can I download it ? - How?
C) If I see that the link starts with HTTP://, that means it have to be HTTP or can it be something else like RTMP?

4) Is there any streaming that can't be downloaded (so I won't even try)? Or everything can be downloaded?
