Removing DRM from audio files with SoundTaxi (unprotecting music purchased online)

Hi all! I've searched for software which unprotects music purchased online.
Now I use SoundTaxi. I tested several, but liked high speed and good quality of ST!
Has anyone tried it too?

I don't really like the idea of recompressing files. Why losing quality?
In the overwhelming majority of cases music subscription/download services offer lossy audio format. And you want to recompress one more time? Well if you have no other choice, than it must be a good idea ;)

I haven't tried Soundtaxi, but I don't think it is different from TuneBite. Please read the comparison of Automate unDRM vs. Tunebites like software at
http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204

p.s.
BTW TuneBite Platinum can remove DRM protection from video files (.WMV, .M4P, .M4V) as well audio files.

I have very bad eperience with soundtaxi 1.0. After installing it, I had a lot of system stops which I never had before (Windows XP Professional SP2, Pentium 4). No normal system stops: I wasn't able to call the task manager - the PC hanging complete. After searching I found a lot of other people which had the same experience (http://www.topshareware.com
This software is dangerous for a stable PC!!!!!

HI
SoundTaxi made my PC freeze twice. Don't wanna go through that again.
I never experienced any trouble with Tunebite so I'm sticking to it.

Ok
I thought I give it another try. I took the last version from the official site but it still doesn't make a good impression on me :o . It has a pleasant skin but that's about everything I liked.... Sorry, back again to the one I like - Tunebite

Don't get me wrong because I'm a newbie in this kind of stuff, but doesn't mean converting at high speed loss of more quality (the higher the speed, the more quality is being lost). So if I want to convert some files i would want to loose quality as little as it is possible:p

I didn't really get your point.

Automate UnDRM unlike freeTunes, TuneBite and SoundTaxi works faster and just removes DRM info from the header without recomressing. The only problem is that Automate UnDRM can be hard to install it, besides it supports fewer formats.

You may read about FairUse4WM and Automate unDRM (drmdbg/drm2wmv) vs. Tunebite Platinum, freeTunes, SoundTaxi
