chaturbate.com: no sound with rtmpDump

 

Hey guys,

Has chaturbate.com changed something at their end recently? Up until yesterday, everything was recording as normal via rtmpDump but since around 8:30-9pm EDT yesterday none of the recorded clips have sound. Tried with rtmpDumpHelper as well; same result. If I play the clips using MPUI the sound is there but badly out of sync or at 2x speed or more, most standard players (VLC, MPC) have no sound at all.

Any amendments to the command to get round this? Hoping KSV can pick this up, he seems to be the guru of all things rtmpDump around these here parts!

Think I may have found the answer. Seems like chaturbate went back to using speex audio codec which most standard media players don't support. Files can be converted into a different format to play correctly, bit of a pain though.
