Remote viewing via Web browser

Hi,

I have two DVR's (AVTECH) which up until recently, have been able to be accessed via the Anytime & Anywhere platform. This was accessed by inputting the static IP address, which then brought up the AT & AW page. The username and password would be entered, then 'hey presto' I was able to look at all cameras and access or change any of the settings on the DVR if I so wished. I could also playback from the DVR menu instantly, instead of having to download a section of time via the Video E programme.

However, recently, I can access the AT & AW page, but when I input the username and password, I get 'error 404' and 'The requested URL was not found on this server '.

I have looked at several posts which suggest this could be to do with Active x and also tried most web browsers to see if it happens on all of them and it does.

I can access the dvr from my 'eagleeyes' app on my phone but can only change cameras, not playback or any additional features which I could perform using the old web browser.

I have now also installed the new AT & AW programme onto my computer at a remote location, however although this brings up the live camera footage, it doesn't allow me to change cameras or playback ect.

In addition to this if I access via the 'Video E' programe I can look at the current camera but not change to any other, its useless!

Any help to get back to the old flexibility of the old AT & AW web browser would be so much appreciated.

Have you changed your router at all?

Is all your port forwarding setting still there?

If not here is a free guide on port forwarding for your CCTV: http://qrcctv.co.uk/cctv/cctv-port-forwarding

Also you are right. It may be the active X. Clean your browsers cache and temp files. (Even try re-installing your I.E again!)

Hope this helps.
