Problem with using Flv Recorder~~

My friend has a problem of using FLV Recorder. When he is trying to choose one of the adapters that is connected to the internet, the following message shows up "Unable to open the adapter:XXX" (as the picture shown )

He chose another adapters that were on the list, but the same message still showed up. Actually he is living in the dorm and sharing the network with others. Will that be the cause of the problem and is there any way to solve?

What kind of network adapter does he have? Can he use URL Snooper?

Replay Media Catcher is another software that can record RTMP flash video streams. It works the same way a firewall works so you don't need to select a network adapter.

Actually he is supposed to connect to the third one (WAN interface); however, when he do that, the message of "unable to open the adapter" shows up. Same thing happens when he tries to connect to the first one. For the second one, It seems it is okay for him to connect to the second one because no message shows up. However, he just cannot capture any RTMP flash video with using that adapter. Therefore, he is unable to use FLV Recorder.

He can use URL Snooper and also the Replay Media Catcher. He just thinks FLV Recorder maybe better because it can capture some videos that Replay Media Catcher cannot capture. So he really wants to use FLV Recorder and hopes to find out what the problem he has with this software.

So far I've seen only one video stream that Replay Media Catcher wasn't able to download and FLV Recorder was able. There might be more, but Replay Media Catcher features the following:
1. Better support.
2. Can record MP3 files streamed through the RTMP protocol.
3. "Automatic naming" – it can figure out the names of most captured .FLV videos from the popular web sites.
4. For MP3 files, the artist, album, song title and other information are added to the ID3 tags (using special song identification service).
5. Works the same way your firewall works so you won't have any problem with a network adapter (especially the wireless one).
