How can I stream a Link found with HDS Link Detector add-on

I am looking for some assistance in learning how to stream a link like this.

I am currently using the HDS Link Detector along with KSV Adobe HDS Downloder to retrieve the files. I would now like to learn how to understand the above link so that I may also stream it. I have read that I need a OSMP Player and flowplayer can do this.

I am getting confused with what role the manifest plays in delivering the content although I understand that is it key to the delivery of the content. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
