Can't download YouTube Vids thru WMR 11

 

It seems we can't GET the 'exact/embedded' URL of the video
to download from WMR 11 off this YouTube selection:

We tried URL Snooper by DonationCoder but couldn't find the embedded URL....

..any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I used the search on YouTube and found the web-page of the video
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RELR70DoWL0

I had no problem getting its URL:
http://chi-v197.chi.youtube.com/get_...id=RELR70DoWL0

Finding the YouTube Video 'URL'

 

OK: HOW did you 'find' this URL??

We tried 'all-over' that certain page - looking in 'SOURCE' and couldn't find it.

I would guess that all the YouTube direct video URL's
are basically the same (.FLV files) and having the:

'chi-v' indication on URL -

- and the page's ID number at the end...

...but when checked, they are indeed ALL different via the number after the 'v'
- DO they use the same kind of URL protocol?

PLease explain HOW you got the YouTube URL to post into WMR 11...

FAQ: How to record/download/capture/save Flash .FLV video stream from YouTube

If WM Recorder fails to find the URL of YouTube video strem please contact its support and explain the problem. WMR has a very good support team.

You may also use free demo versions of Replay A/V and Replay Media Catcher to get YouTube URLs. Or you may use URL Snooper, but the latter program generates a huge list of URLs and is not the best one for YouTube. You may also use Firefox plug-in.

After getting YouTube's video stream URL there is no need to use special software to download it. You can download YouTube video with your browser or any download manager.

Free, and it will download the videos nicely - no need for the WMR on this puppy....

NOW if we can only convert these .FLV files - to .WMV - 'easily'....(sigh)

I bet almost all of them can convert to .wmv
