SHOUTcast is an audio streaming solution on the internet. It permits anyone on the internet to broadcast audio from their PC to listeners across the Internet or any other IP-based network. But broadcasting too many clients often isn't possible from a home Internet connection, but this problem is easily overcome by broadcasting just one stream to a ShoutCast server hosted on a high bandwidth connection, the shoutcast server will then relay the audio to any clients connected. |
