I don't really like noname Chinese devices after owning 4 Chinese cell phones. This media player is OK, but you get what you pay for. Here are some reviews:

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

Pros:
-Great Price -Works well with android 4 -So easy to use, just plug in and start using

Cons:
-Not compatible with many applications (for example, Google Chrome is not compatible here). -Heats up very quickly -I wanted to use it as a workstation for downloading torrents and multimedia center - however, I haven't found professional apps for that yet. -does not run very smoothly -the spec included support for external storage up to 2 TB. I connected USB 2.5" Hard drive but it doesn't work.

Other:
For 70 USD, I got an excellent product! It supports many applications and I can use it as a light - PC. However, I expected it to be more powerful than a light - PC (with 1GB RAM and 1.5 GHZ CPU) and it's not: so far I couldn't download any torrents and organize all my media here.

Pros:
Very good, worth buying, very viable, both for everyday use aprensetar jobs like to watch movies or even play on TV.

Cons:
could have a cooler or some internal air intakes, as it heats up too much, I'm afraid of burning, but more is perfect :)

Other:
to make better use buy a wireless mouse and keyboard, if you want to try and adapt it to a cooler outside does not heat up as much..

Bottomline:
I was surprised when I tested really, really good, it's worth it, so that they saw several friends already are wanting to order, despite its minimal defects.

Pros:
- small, really very small, it's even smaller than on image. - Low price - wi-fi 802.11n - 1080p support. - Android 4.04 Looks very nice, aluminium box

Cons:
Android! Most applications is not usable without touchscreen. Remote control very ugly and not convenient. No batteries in pack! Many things can not be done with remote control, for example it's impossible to change keyboard layout or close application. No manual! Some HD files becomes a slide show on fast scenes. Power supply has American standard!

Other:
Nice player, but android is not adapted for mediaplayers. This player has standard android firmware, no any adaptation. All that they done - made new home screen.

Bottomline:
I could not find player cheaper, so I guess it good choice. I'm ready for experiments, maybe I'll update android to 4.1 or install Ubuntu on it. Fun, fun, fun. It's constructor like Lego, not complete product.

Pros:
Compact multimedia consoles. Android 4.0.4. remote control. RAM 1GB. The set comes HDMI cable. support web camera. there android market, most of the programs installed. at first glance made ??qualitatively. The rest belong to the dignity of the android 4. the presence of the Russian language, but this is again the dignity android

Cons:
really hot!need to think about additional cooling. no instructions in the kit. Internal Memory NOT 4GB!!! but only 2 GB! No emulation multitouch to zoom in / zoom out. not in the control mouse emulator.

Other:
need to alter the cooling system. no attachment system to the TV or wall. t would be nice to remote mount something like a gravity sensor.

Bottomline:
should have, but you must purchase an additional mouse or another controller.

Good things about MiniX Android TV Box :

1. You can install many different players from an Android marketplace, so you shouldn't have any problems watching videos.
2. You can browse Internet with it.
3. You can watch online videos (including Youtube)
4. You can watch videos from a hard drive, local network, Internet TV
5. This is a mini computer that doesn't need a noisy fan. It take little space.
6. You can use it as a video phone (like Skype) after connecting it to a TV or monitor. Just attach a webcam with a mic.
7. You may use either Anroid OS or Linux (Ubuntu is too slow on it, but Xubuntu works fine). This can be a small server for you.
8. You can download torrents with it and there won't be any noise.
9. You can play games on it. Although multitouch games don't work when you use a mouse.
10. You can create a digital photo phrame from it after connecting to your TV.
11. You can attach a keyboard and mouse to it.
12. You may install DroidMote Client and manipulate your media player from an Android phone.
13. It has HDMI output, optical audio output. And you can even add composite video output to it:
