Problem converting .flv files to play on TV

 

I have downloaded two clips from youtube as .flv and joined them.

I tried to convert them using DVDFlick and burnt them on CD-RW as DVD.

I have two problems:

First,
The file size which is 62 MB in .flv format, bloated to an incredible 2.3 GB so that one CD-RW could only accommodate about one third of the total.

Second,
When I inserted the CD-RW into the DVD player, it displayed the remark" cannot play this disc"

Can anyone advise what might have gone wrong.

Further, in which format should i convert and burn the files on CD-RW to keep it to a respectable size and also view it on the TV?

You should burn to DVD-RW/+RW instead. You can burn 4,37 GB to DVD. You can also play video files from your VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive using players like PowerDVD.

It depends. Here are some options:

1. You can burn .FLV files and watch them on your TV using TV out of your video card.

2. You can use set top box like Apple TV. In this case conversion to format supported by set top box required.

3. You can burn MPEG-4 .AVI files and watch them on a standalone DVD Player with MPEG-4 support.

4. And you can burn DVD-Video disc that you can watch on a standalone DVD Player.
