Remote login error "cannot find the device".

 

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me.

Accessing the DVR from local network is OK

When accessing from the internet the DVR login box appears but when trying to login the following error comes up, "cannot find the device". This is the same username/password I used on the local network.

I fix the problem! thought I should share it to you guys.
1. set the DSL modem to "Bridge" mode.
2. set up the ISP login details on the DVR device.
3. white-list the wan IP you are going to log-in remotely from.
4. Update your IE browser.
5. enter the DVR wan IP.

Done!
