help with canopus

 

hello i have a canopus advc 110 and would like some help with the dip switches....

i want to watch my tv on my computer...i have a firewire connection on computer and a cable...

my tv is a panasonic with lots of connections on the front and back...but i dont know if i have to have any outputs...cause i dont see any...

th-42px80u by panasonic is the tv i am using...


so what i need to know is the following....

1. dip switch settings

2. connections from tv/computer via the canopus advc 110

i did this once before and it worked...just not sure why its not working now...

i have used windv s/w as well as windows movie maker and roxio...cant seem to get video onto computer....i am sure my connections are incorrect....or dip settings..

if you have any questions please ask as this is driving me crazy...not sure what i am doing wrong..this thing is usually idiot proof ...guess not.,

i would be glad to share the fix ...it was as simple as connecting to the satellite receiver instead of tv....i dont have a tuner in my computer so i can only record what is on the tv but i can still record which was my initial requirement...

hope this helps some...the canopus is a great piece of equipment...
