Problem removing DRM from .AZW ebook (Kindle for PC 1.7.1)

Sorry, I got lost....

1. downloaded Skindle
2. downloaded Kindle4PC app
3. registered this app as a user which bought a book
4. copid azw-file to skindle folder (name is short and without spaces)

... skindle cannot find kindle.info :(

... I'd done it before I asked here :) Unfortunately i get info:

"This book is DRM protected. We cannot convert (put title here)...."

Maybe I do something wrong. Should I adjust it in some way???

What version of the Kindle for PC do you use?

What version of the plug-in do you use?

What file extension does your book have?

Also when a plug-in doesn't work, it is a good idea to try a standalone tool. In this case try KindleBooks.pyw from the latest version of DRM Tools Archive

In many tools they look for "kindle.info" file which I cannot find on my hard disc. As I read somewhere it should be created when I register copy of KindleForPC on account on which book was bought. I did it....

So it shows that it can't find some file. The problem is that usually this error is more detailed and shows the file path...

Try to close Kindle for PC before running DRM removal tools.

If this doesn't work, try to install Kindle for PC 1.6.1, delete all Kindle ebooks and re-download them. Then try with to use the Calibre plugin again.

Uninstalled... installed again v. 1.6.1... and I have again 1.7.1 XD is there automatic update??? Anyway... whatever :) I'll wait till my husband will finish book and I'll read on his Kindle or I'll read it on Kindle for PC :)

Kindle for PC is updated automatically. Go to Tools -> Options -> General and disable auto updates.

Also you can remove DRM from ebooks from your Kindle reader. You will need to set up Calibre plug-in for that. Read the readme file.
