I want to download the following stream;

try the following command. if it doesn't work provide the verbose output. it would be better if you can provide working proxy or vpn because stream is geo blocked.

you need to use a belgian ip address to download because stream is geo blocked at rtmp server level.

rtmpdump can use socks proxy to download. append the following switch to given command line:

replace X with actual hostname or ip and port number. though it would be better to use vpn.

for Belgium i cant find any socks proxy, though. even http proxy .. notting. uk, usa, france .. no problem. belgium, italy, .. hardly anything freely available on the inet! :rolleyes:

I search for any proxy from Belgium but, its look a bit impossible

how did you do to get the XML file that was embedded ?

I did try to get it with swfdecompiler with no luck.

Video on demand concerts (I need help)

Hi,
I would like to compile a new working string to download the new "on demand festival concert video's" from my provider, but I need a help to compile a new data string, rtmpe url,...

Last year I was able to use rtmpdumb because someone had posted the hidden rtmpe url, this year I have tried myself to find it, but coojah, urlsnooper,.. fail to recognise the url.
The video I'd like to download can be found here:

I have tried to compile the data for the Sabaton concert, but rtmp dump fails to record

=> "ERROR:RTMP_HashSWF:couldn't open C:\users\..... .swfinfo for writing, errno 13 (permission denied)

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

there is nothing wrong with your command line. i am able to download successfully with your posted command line. rtmpdump tries to save Player Hash in .swfinfo file. on your system something is blocking it to doing so. try running with admin privileges or turning your antivirus off.

Hi KSV,
I still need your help once again.
If I want to use Rtmpdump to record a livestream instead of on demand content. Do I need to use a different RTMPTE adress in the command line?

How do I need to interpret the rtmpte adress of the live streamer="rtmpte://live.flash.streampower.be/bgc_live_festivals_stage###channel###" file="web###channel###_###bw###.sdp

Do I need to fill in some parameter? lfor example channel: 137?
There are 4 different stages on the festival, but only 1 livestream, in 3 types of quality.

& How to find the correct filename?

please can you help me, i'm trying to record videos from graspop 2012 too but i tried streamtransport, hidownload, getflv, nothing works then i found this site but i don't understand what i'm supposed to do to get the videos on my pc.

so is anybody of you a nice soul to explain it to me?

btw i see many users are trying to records videos from graspop even from last year, does anybody have : Amorphis and Firewind please?

Hi,
1. you will need to download RTMPdump & extract...: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RTMPDump
2. no installation need, it's a command line tool, Open CMD.exe (you only need to enter "cmd" in the search field of your Windows start menu)
3. enter => "cd" + "the location adress of the tool"
for example : "cd C:\Users\Documents\RTMPE
4 enter + add the command line which is specific to the concert you would like to download
example 2012 kyuss lives:
rtmpdump -r "rtmpte://flash.streampower.be/bgc_festivals" -a "bgc_festivals" -p "http://www.skynet.be/muziek/festivals/graspop-2012/vod/9805" -W "http://static.generation.portal.skynet.be/swf/player5.6.swf?v=20120619" -y "mp4:GMM2012/concerts/kyuss_lives_nl.mp4" --start 0 --verbose -o KyussLives.flv --resume

text in green color you will need to modify:
-the vod number "9805" you will find easily in the url
-the name of the file "kyuss_lives_nl.mp4" =>you will need to open the "pagesource" and search for the name(= click right and....)

text in blue => choose yourself
text in red => sometimes rtmpdump fails to download the file complete =>re-use the same command line, but add "--resume" to the command line and your download will continue (don't add "--resume" when you try to download the file for the first time, because rtmpdump can't find...)

Another example (sabaton)
rtmpdump -r "rtmpte://flash.streampower.be/bgc_festivals" -a "bgc_festivals" -p "http://www.skynet.be/muziek/festivals/graspop-2012/vod/9780" -W "http://static.generation.portal.skynet.be/swf/player5.6.swf?v=20120619" -y "mp4:GMM2012/concerts/sabaton_nl.mp4" --start 0 --verbose -o Sabaton.flv

The 2011 concerts are still online, but you will need a different command line, the rtmpe adress is different:

is there any ways to get a belgian ip using rtmpdump or something else please?
i find some proxy ip addy but don't know how it works honestly
