Replay Media Catcher Orbit Downloader GetFLV Blader even WM Recorder rtmpdump unable to record the program films itself Only advertisements are still in .flv format. Most of the actual films (program, trailers, etc are now in mp4 and avi format and seem to be split upon multiple servers. Thus I ask has anyone developed a tool that can access and download the films on gametrailers NOT the commercials which are .mp4 and seemingly now fragmented into multiple pieces on multiple servers rather than a single file. |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comI've tried to download some videos from gametrailers.com using Replay Media Catcher 4 and didn't have any problem downloading HTTP .flv videos (SD as well as HD videos).
I didn't manage to find any RTMPE streams. Please post the URL of the web-page you're trying to record from. |

Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:
nothing new. In such cases, i would suggest recording the video (or music) with a real-time software recorder. most recently i bought(!) a copy of Applian Replay Capture Suite (Applian RCS). It records everything for you! And if you now begin to think that i am related to promoting their software products, then ..erh.. ;) |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:
a software pack that does the re-assmbling for the client. Quote:
if anyone finds a manner to access these sources or a new tool that can access the relay streams and reassemble as well, please let us know as that is the next step |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:
Esar, maybe you know of any tool which re-assembles the chunks? :) |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comI tried to find URLs from the following page:
hxxp://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/111 There were 4 URLs for 4 parts of the episode: Code:
rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net:80/ondemand?ovpfv=2.1.4/mp4:spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/331/t_gttv_331_a_rpt3_750.mp4 Code:
rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net:80/ondemand?ovpfv=2.1.4/mp4:spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/331/t_gttv_331_a_rpt3_1200.mp4 As of January 28, 2009, any newly installed copy of Replay Media Catcher does not support Adobe Secure RTMP Measures. But you can use RTMPE recorders like freeware CooJah + Blader. Blader worked just fine for me. The player highlights each part of the episode, and you can forward to the beggining of each part to find its URL. You can join videos afterwards if you want. Or you can just create a playlist instead. |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:
The playlist is also a good idea! so good luck customer20983 :D |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:
the software stated the response of: Looks like that RTMP downloading failed. Latest Coojah supports RTMP recording. Click the link below to learn how to record RTMP by CooJah. I have tried to use CooJah and stripped it off my system as it is NOT a good program FOR ME. The video tutorials is no longer on the pointed links of http://www.hensence.com/cn/coojah/re...h_tutorial.avi Anyone have any other reliable EASY to use programs something at least along the lines of Orbit? Orbit Downloader seems to be the more refined of the RTMP recorders but of course it does NOT work when I tested it for gametrailers.com TV reports. Quote:
If you are M$IE then I have to wait on a better RTMP recording software package that works in foxfire/mozilla and forget it for the present time. |
Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.comQuote:

And Orbit doesn't support RTMPE streams, so won't help here. You need to use RTMPE recorders instead. Quote:

Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.commy apologies, the board software accidentally deleted the other gamertrailers thread (started by customer20983). so let's keep it this way: one single thread for the subject "gametrailers.com - plz heeeelp me with recording their game trailers büüäähh!!" :p
if you have problems with catching or downloading their streams, then report/post your problems here (e.g. URL Snooper2 doesnt catch anymore, ..), thanks. |
Re: How to find RTMPE stream URLsQuote:
gametrailers.com ![]() URL Snooper 2 .29 -- fail (rtmpe streams specific, NOT .flv) GetFLV -- fail (rtmpe streams specific, NOT .flv) NetTransport -- fail HiDownload -- fail CooJah 6 -- fail streamCapture -- fail |
Re: How to find RTMPE stream URLsQuote:
Some of the software above must work because it's just a simple HTTP stream, you put in 'rtmp' as keyword in URL Snooper,so you wouldn't find anything anyway. The video link is http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_..._323_v3hi8.flv As for the 2nd website,i cant access it outside of US so i cant test. |
Re: How to find RTMPE stream URLsQuote:
No. As listed by " boneramous lugayness " above, you can see his screen cap lists rtmpe://--------------.mp4 urls on MTV. I have used all of the listed softwares and found that only on a few sites do they still access rtmpe urls. Most of these freewares FAIL on displays rtmpe urls now such as MTV music video streams and gametrailers.com which are STILL using rtmpe but are now encryped in such a way that they are no longer detectable by these systems. I am presently going through the long hex dump capture process and hoping it is not a waste of time after being told that jaksta still works and finding it does NOT work for gametrailers or MTV music videos though still works for some rtmpe sites. |

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailers@customer20983
post a particular testpage url (video link!) and we'll be glad to test it and download your GAME TRAILER video ;) |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersI.ve also tried URL Snooper with the gametrailers URL and i can confirm that it is not working for me, if i go for the manually scan. However if i sniff my network after playing just a little peace of the trailer i end up with a bunch of "rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net/ondemand/spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/407/t_gttv_407_a_3n2i6_400.mp4".
How can i download these url to my HD so i can watch the eps on my pc. These are some valid gamtrailers URLs: Code:
http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/118 |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailers |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailerswith the RTMPexplorer i'm getting this error:
"ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet body. len: 14091432" Does anybody has any idea why this happened or better yet how to fix this. i'm verry new to this . |

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersThanks for your quick reply.
After entering the command i end up with a output.flv of 0kb. A closer look to the console window shows a error "ERROR: RTMP_Connect1, handshake failed." Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i'm using Windows. Can it be? |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersyou need to be using correct version of rtmpdump. i tested it with r568 and it is working
|
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersThanks every one, that did the trick for me downloading the r568 version.
Is there any way of configure rtmpdump to use a specific amount of memory? I can see that the clip is being downloaded but after awhile i see a message saying that windows is running low on virtual memory and a check to the task manager shows a bunch of rtmdump process while i only opened the rtmpexplorer who has opened one rtmpdump. Even increase windows virtual memory i still get this error. |

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersIt will only download the first peace when closing the the rtmpexplorer windows. The good thing about it is that i didn't get the memory error. The bad thing is that i can never download the hole eps like this.

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersQuote:
But now i have the base command. I will use URL Snooper to get the links and then download them manually. From the base command i will change the letter( t_gttv_407_a_) and offcourse the output name. |

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersIs any one else having trouble downloading the gametrailers GTTV clips. All of sudden i'm getting these errors
"ERROR: rtmp server sent error ERROR: rtmp server requested close" i'm using the following commands: rtmpdump -r rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mp4:spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/510/gttv_510_a_j4ndb5_3500 -W http://media.mtvnservices.com/player...ime.1.12.1.swf -o GTTV_eps_febs_17a.flv rtmpdump -r rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mp4:spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/510/gttv_510_a_j4ndb5_3500 -W http://media.mtvnservices.com/player...rime.1.8.2.swf -o GTTV_eps_febs_17a.flv |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailerssame here, got the error message, it's pretty weird since there is no problem like this before. using ver 2.4..
|
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersi've tried different versions all has the same problem. while a lot of post on the net state that with version 2.4 it should work.
And version 2.4 does support RTMPE type 9 handshakes. Unless the code i'm using is wrong, i don't understand what is going wrong and most important why. Can anybody shed some light in to this? |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersDo you have a download link for windows?
|
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailers |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersThanks for the link "Bahman".
I'm not familiar with compiling binaries on Windows. how do i compile them or build the new exe file. |
Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersQuote:
@aaroz88: i figure out your problem your missing the -s (flag SWFURL) and the resume flag(--resume). I've tested it with your link and could download the clip completely. The only down side of this method, is that while using the resume flag it will not automatically resume, you still have to execute the command until it completes the clip. Can you explain the "-a "ondemand?ovpfv=2.1.4"" in your command. I'm using "URLSnooper 2" to sniff for the necessary URL segment, but i didn't find the "ovpfv=2.1.4". |

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailersswfvfy command is needed for the download to be stable without frequent interruption but now we only have problem with SWF Verification Type 2 which the patch did not come out yet.. :(
