Crunchyroll also doesn't work on here and after emailing them they claim it does so sounds a little like a suspect application to me :(

It is working for me, and I'm not associated with GetFLV.

You have to select the correct link to download. And like I've mentioned elsewhere in other threads, the percentage indicator in getflv's download list will be off - it will show somewhere between 50%-75% and then just stop, but the full file has actually downloaded.

With a capable player, the subtitles will also work. It does take some work to get a player/codecs installed that fully support the newest flv container. If the player you use has the audio/video out of sync, or shows a shorter total time length for the file - this is probably not a problem with the file, but with the player.

Please download GetFLV 8.8.23. New version has fixed "50%-75%" bug.

How-to record videos from globo.com? Getflv doesn't work (http .mp4)

Hi.. I thought GetFLV was the best,
but It just don't work with
Code:

http://video.globo.com/
Anyone knows a software that download videos from there?

Thank you

Re: How-to record videos from globo.com? Getflv doesn't work (http .mp4)

video.globo.com broadcasts HTTP .mp4 videos. To save them use any program that can capture HTTP packets from flash player, for example: Ask & Record Toolbar, Video History tool of Replay Media Catcher.

You can also watch the video fully and then copy it from the cache folder of your web-browser.

I have tried GetFLV, but end up with the same results from before (I only capture the commercials, and not the primary stream from funimation). Am I missing something? Any further thoughts?

Thanks,

resume broken downloads with GetFLV?

hi

You can resume broken downloads with GetFLV?

ensure there is a feature?

thanks

Re: resume broken downloads with GetFLV?

I would like to know as well.

Currently trying to download a program from 4oD but I always seem to end up with just 10-15% of it due to the stream freezing and I have to restart it again.

Rightclicking a download in the FLV Download manager gives you no option of resuming it. If you click start all it does is pop up a dialog saying something about you having to go back and click the original play video url again and that only results in a totally new download from scratch.

For a program setting you back $60 this seem quite a bit tacky!

As of 01/11/2010 GetFLV will not record some videos from Hulu. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Thanks for your replies.

GetFlv auto reconnect?

Started using this program recently to capture programs from sites difficult for other capture programs. I'm finding one hitch: after a period of time, I lose the connection and have to reconnect manually as in the GetFLV instructions. I don't see anything about an auto reconnect- is there any way to auto reconnect? Also, the instructions mention something about adjusting stream numbers to increase download speed, but I don't see that option anywhere (I am using the latest version). Any help appreciated. Thanks.

billsantos 01-21-2010 07:17 PM

Re: GetFlv auto reconnect?

Ok, here's why I am losing a connection and would appreciate some insight. While trying to download a movie, I lose the stream when a commercial starts. This happens roughly three times. It's no problem to reconnect as I have to basically restart the movie once again in the browser, but this could get tedious as I have a lot I want to download. Are there any workarounds for these interruptions so that movie stream download will be continuous and uninterrupted? Thank you.

Does anyone else have certain options not available in GetFlv

Does anyone else have certain options not available in GetFLV, such as inability to convert files from flv to other formats, download speed, etc?

billsantos 01-23-2010 06:36 AM

Re: GetFlv auto reconnect? *solved*

After shutting down and rebooting the program, I have had no more disconnections when commercials start. Not sure why it happened in the first place, but I'm not complaining!

Re: Does anyone else have certain options not available in GetFlv

Sorry, but I don't really understand your question.

Do you want to know whether other programs have similar problems? Do you want to find a better program that can record streams that GetFLV can?

Multiple errors using GetFLV

I uninstalled and reinstalled. GetFLV is of no help. Everything had been working fine until a few days ago.

Please open flash video page and try again.

FLV Downloader Show Error!

RTMPDownloader Create error!

Does anyone know what the cause could be? I haven't found anything via googling.

any way to speed up GetFLV's capture rate?

I've tried adjusting as much as I can but only seem to be able to capture at about half the speed that I should be capturing with GetFLV. Any way to solve?

I've never done this before. Which directory?

I did that but it still doesn't work.

Re: Multiple errors using GetFLV

If open, close GetFLV. Also close IE (if open). Restart IE. If "menu bar" in IE is not enabled, enable it. From "Tools" in menu bar, select the first option "Delete Browsing History". Make sure all boxes are checked, and confirm. Close IE and restart getflv.

Note that you will lose all stored cookies and passwords in IE when you delete all of the browsing history.

Thanks for the suggestion. I cleared the browsing history, cookies, etc. but the same problem continues...

I don't use IE other than to run 2 applications so I decided to do that. It didn't fix the problem.

Try to go to a flash video site within IE and play a video. Make it a different site than you last visted within GetFLV.

I tried flash video from other sites in IE - they work fine.

GetFlv and Jaksta CBS recording troubles

Have had occasional problems capturing RTMP streams from CBS with both GetFLV and Jaksta. With Jaksta, I will get either "download complete" messages even though the recording maybe only 70% completed, or I may get the message that the connection has been "forcibly terminated by remote host". With GetFLV, I simply won't capture a complete stream but it isn't as bad because I can restart the DL from where it was terminated. I have tried adjusting Jaksta settings from record to download and vice versa, but no matter what I do I still get the incomplete download. I find that it very often happens during daylight hours and not so much at night. I also find that if I access email or try to do just general browsing, this is enough to cut off the stream but then again it will cut off at times even when nothing else is done. Therefore, I am seldom capturing an RTMP CBS steam without at least two tries, sometimes three before a download is completed and I am finding this with either program. Is there any way to make the downloads more reliable and to properly capture the first time?

rtmpdump works fine for me... E.g.
