Hi guys, this is my first post. This forum has helped me a lot until now...

I pay for an online course. In this course I can access the video lessons on their website. They don't allow me to download the videos to watch them later offline.

So, I was using the program "Flash Stream Hunter" to download the videos to my PC. It was working fine. It was working better than Jaksta or Orbit, the only other 2 programs that have worked for me. I have tried almost every program listed here on stream-recorder.com website.

But today, unfortunately it seems that they have changed the streaming technology. It's now an RTMPE. I think the older streams were RTMP.

Flash Stream Hunter doesn't work now. And Jaksta recognizes the file, but it doesn't record the file, here is the error:

So, I read everything here and tested GetFLV, it didn't work. It recognized the file URL but failed to download it.

Please, can anyone help me? I really need those files, my only option now is recording the screen. I was used to leave the Stream Hunter downloading and doing other things to watch the videos later in my cell phone while traveling from home to work for instance. I could never do this online.

Well, here is an example of the video URL I got from GetFLV:

Hi Arcturus, I am also trying to download from the same site since yesterday. I have the rtmpdump, but it's not a friendly program. It's not that it is complicated, but the problem is that the RTMPE url is not clearly defined and there are too many combinations to test: the correct url to test, with or without swfhash and size, other minor parameters. So long I am without a solution. Maybe we can join efforts...

I downloaded the rtmpdump from bittorrent network. There are some versions. The best one, which comes with binaries for win, linux, etc, is the one found in this post.

I have already tried this URL you mentioned for the open video. I also tried many other combinations, trying to figure out the URL from the HTML source code. All tries failed.

In spite of the program gives us the URL you mentioned, I guess the following URL makes more sense:

I also tried to analyze traffic with Wireshark, but it doesn't make our life easier to detect the RTMPE URL. I guess my next try will be tomorrow, making a script on a unix to try the many possibilities of use of rtmpdump command.

I'm trying too but i am having no luck with it...
i am using the rtmpdump, but all i get is to connect and when the program starts downloading the server close the connection.
i still have to try sending the info about the player.swf

Hi Fellows...I'm trying to download these classes too (Orbit Downloader doesn't works anymore...:( )...and rtmpdump isn't friendly....I can't found the correct RMTPE URL.

If you don't pass parameters for swfUrl, pageUrl, app or auth these properties will not be included in the connect packet.

You don't need to provide the url parameter (--rtmp|-r) when you use the host, playpath, tcURL parameters.

You didn't use the hostname (-host|-n), protocol (--protocol|-l), playpath (--playpath|-y), tcURL ( --tcUrl|-t url) parameters at all.

URL to player swf file (--swfUrl|-s url) should definitely be different.

Hi, from what I understood, the -x must say the uncompressed size of the player, which is 113084, after uncompressing it with "flasm -x"

Also the hash must be the one generated with the uncompressed player. But I have tested all variations without success...

I've tried to download these videos too. So, I saw the messages with the same problem here. Well, I tried to use rtmpdump for the whole day. I saw that there are two swf files. Please, check the code and you will see this. Maybe the two swf files are used to complicate downloads.

I have download the last version of GetFLV released, 8.8.6.4 (tuesday a have tested the 8.8.6.1).

It seems to have an improvement.

At the first time a played the video I got this information from the program:

"This video contains a special encrypt mechanism. You should reload webpage and play this again quickly as possible! You have to click "play button" if your video automatically does not play!!"

So, I did it! And the new information It gave was:

"GetFLV has already obtained the necessary encrypted information! Download task has already begun, please check it."

Ok, after that I left the video playing and when it stopped I checked the download folder of the program, but the FLV files were with 1kb.

I closed the program I did it again, but nevermore the 2 informations came again. It only recognizes 2 files to be downloaded when the video starts. But it seems it's not downloading.

I´ve got the same problem on the same webtraining site, at this moment I´m testing URL Snooper, sniffer and wireshark to found web url to be used on rtmpdump, If I have good news I´ll post here, let´s work together because our test is knocking the door !!

I tested the trial version of GetFLV 8.8.64 and it REALLY WORKS!!!!

But... (there´s always a but....)

The software only downloads like 10% of the file and then it sends a message that says "To get the whole files order the "Canaldosconcursos.com" special version of GetFLV".

The good news is that they really improved GetFLV and it works perfectly...

Anyone here knows how much does this version costs?

I sent an Email to GetFLV people and got a response.

They will soon release this CanaldosConcursos.com Special Version and it will cost like USD$300-400...

It´s like a Golden Version of GetFLV but with the capability of downloading the clips from this particular site, along with the others that already are compatible in the basic version.

As I said before, I tested the software and, for now, it really works perfectly.

Rip Tiger is working! But it's not the same quality.... it's the middle way of screen recording and video downloading.

Tunebite maybe can help in their last version 7, released this week. Please try it, It was not compatible with my windows version, I will try later on another computer.

GetFLV 8.8.64 definitely works with the mentioned site. What is quite funny and weird that I paid 99$ for the Golden version and still have to pay another more money for the Special site version of Getflv? That's silly, isn't it?

We are very sorry for this problem.:( Download videos from canaldosconcursos.com.br is a very hard job. It's very different from common video sites. We worked hard for a week to finish it. Several experts were invited for it and they need a very high reward. Moreover, only a very few users need this version. So we have to release a specail version. We are very sorry for it. :(

TuneBite Platinum can't download/rip/capture RTMPE and other encrypted streams, RTMPE videos can only be recorded from screen with it.

TuneBite Platinum just works for the demo-video... when you try to record a lesson-video it can´t record because the video is "encrypted"..

My friend,

I have tried to test the demo version of GetFLV today, but I think something have changed. When it asks me to reload the video and replay it, when I press the "play button" in the player, the video does not load it anymore. I think the website blocked the video to load when I refresh while GetFLV is trying to connect it.
If I do this in the IE without GetFLV, no problem, I can press F5 and it always loads.

Guys, did you tested today to see if this is happening to you also?

Some people are saying that RipTiger Ultimate could be a solution. Pls someone confirm this. I installed version 2.6.1.1 (registered with keygen, but not the latest one) with no results.

The method with rtmpdump fails on my computer because I cannot find the hidden video URLs. URL Snooper 2.25.01 doesn't recognize my hardware (although I use a mainboard with standard Ethernet chip for DSL connection) and Wireshark is a puzzle to me.

I think that the main point is to find the URL of each video, bypassing SWF verification. We could build a database of the URLs. This database would be updated each time a new video is posted, and from there people could d/l the videos.

My IE version 8 crashes when I start the video with RipTiger 2.7.9 running in the background. I don't understand why it crashes, even after I updated Adobe Flash Player to version 10. And I miss the patch for RipTiger as well.
