Solutions:
  • Write to Parallels support and kindly request the problem to be solved
  • Run Windows XP without Parallels
  • Run Windows XP on freeware VirtualBox or any other virtual machine

The following solutions are probably more for the future
  • Run WM Recorder using Wine or Crossover
  • Run WM Recorder on ReactOS

What version of WM Recorder do you use?

What kind of error exactly do you get on BSOD?

Hmmm... I'm stuck.

I wonder whether this is due to WinPCap. Please do me a favor, install freeware URL Snooper and let me know whether it works for you or not.

WM Recorder installs WinPCap as well.

When does WM Recorder crash your system? What mode do you use, ADA or PRO?

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response.

The problem you're reporting is unusual. I need a few more details please.

1. When does the error occur - during installation, when the program starts, during recording, etc?

2. What program generates the error - WM Recorder, WM Capture, WM Splitter?

3. if the installation was finished, what recording mode was displayed - ADA, WMRX, PRO?

4. What OS you have - XP, Vista, 2000?

5. Is this a new installation or the program is installed over an older version?

It is important that your Internet connection is active during installation. This is necessary for WM Recorder to find your network adapter.

Uninstall the program then reinstall. Make sure you have the Internet connection active and WMR detects your network adapter (ADA mode). If this is not possible (ADA mode not setup) the program defaults to WMRX mode and this may generate the problem.

Please get back with me

1. When i start up the program WM Recorder

2. Error occurs once i click the program, there is no time to actually see it launch, just straight to blue screen. (This is for WM Recorder, WMRX *wmrx pops up - auto-on then few secs later bsod*) WM Converter works fine

3. I do not understand this question, once setup is complete, no MODE is displayed, once fully finished with the "launch" checkbox checked, then an attempt on launch of WM Recorder occurs which again causes the BSOD.

4. XP with recent updates (SP2)

5. New Installation

Just installed SP3 - it launched, mode: ADA = Auto ON

Seems fine, i'll have to find my key and test it further, until further problems (hope not) thanks

Thanks, keep us updated please.

In the meantime, un-install and re-install as I believe the version has been updated.
