Automatical audio/video stream recording - Does this software exist?Hello,
I'm new to this forum and stream recording so be gentle. I have tabbed the majority of topics in this forum and actively digging through them but haven't seen anything related yet. More t read though. Is there any software that will crawl a URL and identify any links that point to a video stream then automatically grab the stream automatically similar to how some download managers will crawl a site looking for files of a specific type? It would be nice if the stream could be recorded by a process that starts up in the background and doesn't really need to be 'played' on the desktop just fool the streamer into thinking it is. Maybe the streams could be recorded a couple at a time instead of single threaded. Any information will be greatly appreciated. |

Offline Explorer Pro is an offline browser so it can download complete web-site (or selected directories and files). It supports Windows Media audio and video, Real Audio/Video streams as well as QuickTime HTTP streams. So it can download web-sites with or without streaming media content automatically. The only disadvantage is that it is rather pricey. NetTransport is a download manager. It supports the same media stream formats. And you may use its Site Explorer to download media streams from a directory or web-site semi-automatically. WM Recorder is a stream recorder supporting Windows Media, Real Audio/Video, Flash .FLV HTTP video streams and QuickTime HTTP streams. It can make automatical recordings, but in a different way. It can record the above mentioned streams automatically when you play them with a player or with an embedded player in a browser window. |
Re: General video stream recording FAQwell, all this tools (URL Finder, URL Snooper, URL Sniffer) uses the WinPcap packet capture driver. Is there free programs that does not use WinPcap? For example, WM Recorder have three modes to capture url, one mode is 'URL mode' that use internet explorer to capture links, not via network adapter. Is there similar freeware utilities?

Replay Media Catcher also supports Windows Media, Real Audio/Video streams. All these streams are also downloaded automatically. |

Some video streams are not live (see for example the Polish video), but rtmpdump, Blader and Replay Media Catcher need to download it as "live stream". So how do i know that a streaming video needs to be downloaded with the "live"-switch/parameter on? The only hint so far i have is RMC4's log in Downloading Mode. It would say "live" somewhere in the log (when in Downloading Mode). |

Re: General video stream recording FAQCan you to help me? A question for Blader. I use Blader 5.0.351.0614. Where is in Blader a setting of an amount of translations downloaded simultaneously? If I put more than 50 translations on downloading all remaining translations stand in a queue and aren't swung. Is a possibility to increase their number? Still a question. I download video stream from a video chat. After translation is completed, it is necessary to delete it from the list and to deliver anew on downloading. Whether there is a possibility that Blader did it automatically? Thanks
