NETFLIX download wireshark capture

 

How to download anything from Netflix if I play it on my Amazon Fire TV and capture that traffic through wireshark?

I put a few of the URLS in the web browser and it downloaded a 2 GB file that is the length of the movie and I can view the bitrate and resolution of the movie, but it doesn't actually show any of the movie. It only shows a grey screen.

Another file is about 95 MB and is the full 5.1 eac3 audio file which does play. I am unable to find the subtitles nor the keys that could possibly decrypt it. Something has to be in the wireshark dump that will work.

I know a software that enables you to record movies and tv shows from netflix. It's called Audials Moviebox. I hope this helped. but otherwise I have no idea how you could download things from netflix.

there are ways to do it

but program is not public.. it's being sold on darkweb and some forums

it exploits Widevine bug in chrome and allows user to save file in .raw format that needs to be converted to mp4/mkv

it's been a while since it's around and chrome is not doing much to fix it

tool is not public, because people pay for it

i got it because I don't like the way scene rips it.. I'm happy with hevc 1080p quality ... for some reason they stick with x264

there is group that found a way to get webdl from netflix ... but they are keeping that tool for them self's...I don't see it anywhere being sold...but I'm assuming it's a same trick .. chrome + widevine bug

I sold 1 copy on this forum.. and talking to another person.. and that's all from me .. made the money back I paid for it

if those people wanna come forward and sell it to somebody else.. by all means they can do that

tool should never be made public and should stay the way it is..less people have it.. it's means it wont get patched

There is a public program to download from Netflix, not great quality or in raw format, but for some people is enough. Search for freegrabapp.

Been awhile, but I needed to reply to this thread, I had a program (non-public and I paid for it) that was able to download Hulu, but stop after working a while back and the creator would not pursue any updates for Hulu anymore. Can anyone come with a tip on how to encode the raw file in ffmpeg. When i do it, there is to much green color. People faces are light green :D So i must be doing something wrong.

The file i am talking about, is a raw file from Amazon.

If you read the recent posts to this thread you will see it is working for other people. Maybe you are using it on an indian site w/widevine that changed something?

Other people are offering to help, but you don't engage with them. I sent you a PM offering to help and you ignored it. Say which site is giving you trouble and list, in a stepwise fashion, what you are doing.

I have a problem similar with Netflix, the video is bluish. I think it's necessary to apply a colormixer filter, but I still have not found the right combination :(

Yeah, it also took me some time to figure out.
It is because you dont use the -vtag YV12.

It is very important, that you use ffmpeg version 1.2. All the other versions dont support the "-vtag".

Here is an exampel, so you can see where to put it in. Allways just before -> -i

ffmpeg -y -f rawvideo -vcodec rawvideo -s:v 1280x720 -r 23.97 -pix_fmt yuv420p -vtag YV12 -i "C:\Users\Techman\Documents\The Grand Tour 1x01 The Holy Trinity.B01M3U2GXX_video_3000000_audio_eng_128000. raw" -vcodec libx264 -qp 0 -c:a aac -b:a 128k test.mkv

That app simply captures the Widevine CDM's output and reencodes it instead of decrypting the video. It only supports up to 720p (H.264) and 96 kbps AAC 2.0 audio. And the audio is messed up, it cuts out in some places.

Also, the advertising is ridiculous. How can you download anything "without spending internet traffic"? (Unless it's zero-rated, but that generally only applies to cellular connections, it's practically nonexistent on home broadband connections, but many of those including mine are unlimited anyway.) And the claim that Netflix doesn't let you download videos is not entirely true – most titles can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices (encrypted, of course).

Are you sure? It seems to download faster than playback speed.
If you're right that is re-encoding, then it should be possible to add more encoding options, depending on the quality of the widevine output.
But I'm not so sure it is re-encoding.
