iPROConference rental is $39.95/month, $119.99 for 3 months.

The most popular web meeting solution WebEx MeetMeNow (from Cisco Systems) can be rented for $39/month.

Both iPROConference and WebEx MeetMeNow are services, not software that you can install on your own server. The good thing is that you don't need any special knowledge on servers, installing and supporting server software.

Skype or Yahoo messenger both have programs even have add-ons where you can do easy file sharing. But for confediental exchanges I think you shall better opt for something secure like gomeetnow or Microsoft netmeeting..they might be a better solution for pro. needs :)

Skype has free conferences and it has free video calls, but videos can not be used in Skype conferences. So you can enjoy a video call with your friend, but this thread is more about video conferences ;)

Google talk (Windows, Mac, Linux) is a free alternative to Skype. It allows to make audio and video calls, create conferences. And it supports a text chat which is much better than the one offered by Skype.

You can use Google Talk software for making calls. And you can also use a Voice and Video Chat browser plugin that supports voice and video chat between Gmail users. The plugin is available for Windows (XP, Vista, and 7), Mac OS X (only on Intel-based Macs), and Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, and OpenSUSE packages available, but the binaries work on other systems). The plugin must be downloaded and installed, but otherwise seamlessly integrates into the Gmail interface.

Google+ Hangout is a nice way for you to say, "I'm online and want to hangout!". Google+ Hangout allows you:
  • Use live webcam chat that puts you in the same room together!
  • Chill with friends that are scrolling through the web, just like you!
  • Coordinate plans, whether it's working on a project or meeting up for coffee.
Maybe you're bored. Start a hangout, invite your circles, see who’s around!

To use Google+ Hangout you just need to join Google+ and install install Google voice and video plugin. Then you will be able to start a live webcam chat right in your web-browser.

Google+ Hangout is absolutely free. You can invite up to 10 participants into a Google+ Hangout video conference (live webcam video chat).
Note that for group video connectivity it is recommended to have an Internet bandwidth of 900kbps/1800kbps (up/down).

Hi friend,
I come to know about lastest Ipad app - PGi GlobalMeet HD, which automatically connect to business meeting, with audio, web and video conferencing solution on a single touch. This will also gives a secure environment for confidential exchanges.
And the exciting thing is, It can be downloaded free from the iPad App Store.
I found an informative blog about this app at Conferencing Shopper website. You can also have a look there for detail.

Has anyone tried the cometcall software? It is available for free so I would like to use that but I would like to know opinions first. I run a small business so cannot afford commercial solutions.
