use commmon sense, asks for "payment" for membership with :
1. no actual proof of a "members location/page/way to actually download the videos"
2. has "preview" with seemingly loseless capping and just convering from .flv to .mp4, Thousands of GIGS @ per day.... where does it all store?
i personally tested to see if its a scam via checking the "dmca" claim checking it on certain models, no reply ever... its a scam that uses captures/previews from probably a group of cappers that cap their stuff -> convert to .mp4..
there are actually no 'videos to download' and all u will get is scammed of the payment 99%

Well, you make some fair points, but I can tell you it's a legit site. For your first point, there isn't a members page, no, but if you look at any file on the site you'll see the big "DOWNLOAD" button which only works if you're logged in (the power of sessions!).

Every video you see on the site is legit and can be downloaded. You shouldn't really go around throwing wild accusations without any actual proof.

ur "logged in" claim seems baseless.. there doesn't seem to be any sort of logging in/session system.. the payment system has nothing to do with it and i can't see any system of that sort remotely existing..
but oh well, whoever wants to risk it can go ahead and try.. i know i wouldn't trust some site that ignores emails and has no one really proving it nothing else than a scam site

Answering about webcam-archiver,

I used it once, for 15 days between June-July. You can really download the vids (I took 5-6). I changed country, so new IP, I contacted support, they solved the problem and I took vids again. So, the service work. It's my feedback about this site.

Now do I trust this site? Not really. Do I buy 15 days again? No, even if I had not problem with them.

Yes really but you are right about DCMA. I claimed twice for different videos for a specific girl. All the vids still there.

It's a scam. I paid for the services. Videos DO NOT download at all. They do not respond to email questions. They should be put out of business. Don't be a fool like I was. If anyone is claiming they are legit. Please show proof. Their " login" process consists of logging your IP address and claiming that as your login access. It's totally bogus.

actually it's not a scam.
i thought so too but i did buy a 15day membership last month and it worked fine..
the biggest problem they have is that they never answer mails, as i emailed them about a bunch of videos that are "gone" or downloading a wrong video, as they have a bug that if a video is "named the same" but is the same date then it will download just the first video in line, and second one (even tho the thumbnail is different) will download the first

I'm a total chump so I forked out for about 70 days worth of access since December.

Compared to similar sites it's a lot more centralised, as in no links to like 5 different third party file hosts that you have to pay premium for separately, where everything gets take down anyway.

The site itself is competent, downloads are fast and there are only occasional issues where specific downloads timeout, which typically get fixed within a day.

That said, I've noticed the captured streams are often much shorter than some other sites, and some are straight up not recorded at all. For what it is, I'd say it's too expensive, and now I'm going to be trying to capture everything myself instead.

yep. some sites like rec-tube capture it much more complete. can confirm for sure
also have you not noticed the thing i mentioned? that if u look for a specific models videos, and u see that same model has 2 files of the same date, then only the first will actually download the first video/thumbnail and that the second thumbnail/video will download the first all the time
oh and speeds are amazing, literally the best servers on their end in terms of performance to download videos.

Actually, what I've noticed is that it seems to strictly be limited to one recording a day per model, at least with the ones I follow. So you can miss out on a lot.

I have been looking at rec-tube and webcam archiver. I am a little put off by the payment processor as they appear to be an unknown and have a basic, to say the least, website. Most of them have a nice shiny website where it is easy to cancel a subscription.

I was wondering what people's experience was of rec-tube and the payment processor?

Well I decided to risk it and joined rec-tube via their payment processor. I then got an email overnight from their payment processor saying my transaction was fraudulent (it is my credit card) and that unless I provided a photo of me and the front of my credit card they would cancel my membership and refund the money! Seems very suspicious to me.

It started out fine in late 2014 then they had to change the name (dropping C4 & CB domains last Summer due to lawsuits:

Then they became untrustable
Payment resulted in
1.) 1x termination due to supposed over use of site (was advertised as unlimited). Star-Traffic didn't respond to emails
2.) Another time a month's sub ended after a week .. Star-Traffic didn't respond.
3.) Add'l attemps to subscribe to 2 0f the sites led to $24 & $20 charges supposely at a UK jewelry biz & a UK dress site. The Dress site finally responded that the charge was in error & would be removed. Never happened.

I don't really see the draw to such sites. Check the 'free' ones and see if your favorites are there. They usually link their downlods to filelockers such as upstore. Get a month premium at the locker(downloads usually only available to premium for the rev share) and download away :cool:

Guys, these sites basically use the same database (storage server). Also probably all recordings are of public shows [free ones], since c4, MFC and cb (on cb long time ago) dont allow recordings of pvt/group or hidden cam shows, same way for any other adult camsite. These site use videos recorded by bots that are presttings to record the models when they come online.

webcam-archiver.com is a scam site. they take your credit card payment by Star Host and then that's it. you get nothing. no download is available. they are laughing all the way to the bank. do not pay them a penny. it is a scam site. I speak from experience.

webcam-archiver.com is a scam site. they take your money and you get nothing. they are also clever, posting on this forum and pretending to be contributors to the site and saying that the site is genuine. It is a scam site. Avoid webcam-archiver. Do not give them any of your money.

at this point i get the feeling its literally 1 guy trying to say they are a scam site.
believe what you may, i know it is legit... just see above for the big downside + they never reply by mail no matter if u are a member or not

So, what EXACTLY happens when you pay for that website? And then once you have paid, you click on a cam models' file? Are you then taken to another site to download a file? If so, which site are you taken to? And what happens when you click "stream online"? Can U.S. members pay for the site? I am very curious. Thank you.

hi hellboy, wish I could help you. I signed up to the webcam.archiver site and there is no download facility available. it is a scam site. you get fleeced of your money and then there is no service. don't give them any money. hope this helps. wrestlerboy
