Does chaturbate.com work for anyone?

 

I can't dump stream from there.
Any help please?

I was able to capture a stream with RTMPExplorer and rtmpsuck as follows:

1. First, download the program from the RTMPExplorer page, by clicking the "Download RTMPExplorer" link, and then Download button. Unzip the program, and place it and the EasyHook libraries into a directory.
   
2. Download RTMPDump by clicking the "Download (direct link)" (I couldn't find the latest version on the usual page), and unzipping the contents into the same directory, the files librtmp.dll, rtmpdump.exe, rtmpgw.exe, rtmpsrv.exe, and rtmpsuck.exe
   
3. Run rtmpExplorer.exe (double click the file). If this is the first time, Windows Firewall pops up, requesting permission to access the local network, which should be approved.
   
4. Two windows pop up, a command line window for rtmpsrv.exe, and the Rtmp Explorer window.
   
5. Ensure the rtmpsrv.exe command line window is selected, and type the letter q, and press enter. This will quit the rtmpsrv.exe program, and the window will close. (The Rtmp Explorer window stays open).
   
6. Now run rtmpsuck.exe, and its command line window will appear.
   
7. Select the Rtmp Explorer window.
   
8. Go to Chaturbate, choose a Cam, and copy the URL, eg., chaturbate.com/camname/ and paste it into the Rtmp Explorer window field, and click Go. You will see your chosen Cam connect and appear.
   
9. The rtmpsuck command window will fill with commands, and your RTMPExplorer directory will have a new file created that will save your stream. Close the RTMPExplorer to finish and save.

At least the worked for me.

It works, but I can't get it to record private shows so I am not sure what going through all the hassle is when I might as well just be using a screen recorder, like Camtasia.

Am I missing a step? Is there a way to save the stream and activate the download when the performer is in a private or passworded show?

How do I also get the sound? I use rtmpexplorer/rtmpsuck or tubedigger but both just catch the video stream but not the sound. Is there any solution?

That's because of Speex audio codec. Try to use latest K-Lite Codec Pack and Media Player Classic.

Thanks, it works now.
Another day, another problem: if I wanted to convert the original flv, which app, that also converts the speex audio, would you guys recommend? So far, I'm using either Handbrake or Moyea FLV to Video Converter 2, works fine for most flv with other audio codecs but both don't recognize the speex audio.

Hello !

I used to use rtmpexlorer with chaturbate and it worked perfectly ...
But for a few days it doesn't work anymore ... The page load normally but cams doesn't start ... same thing for the chat ... White screen ... It seems that flash doesbn't start (???)

Anyone can help ?

yep. have they changed something with chaturbate? chaturbatedownloader isn't finding the streams and replay media ain't grabbing them either

Download RTMPDumpHelper, put rtmpsuck.exe in the folder you extract to, load cam in webpage (firefox works for me). I wish a new version of Chaturbate Downloader would be released though, it's much easier and doesn't overwrite the file created if the girl reconnects :(

Another humble request for a new version of Cbate D/Ler here.

It never worked for me with Firefox but did work for Chrome. Chrome broke a few days ago as did my heart.

Yeah i agree "cbate downloader" was really amazing but the cool guy who maid it said he stopped development of it :( I wanted to make a new downloader but i'm not good enough in programming unfortunately...)But if someone here has this knowledge and wanna share it,that will be amazing! cheers guys

I would definitely be willing to help pay for the development of a newer or updated version of chatb downloader. The program is great and I hope it can get updated to work again on the site.

Can you explain what you mean by this? I use firefox as well. I placed the cdownloader program in the same folder as rtmpdump; that program works but cdownloader still doesn't. I put a copy of rtmpsuck.exe in every folder too just to see if anything would make it work. It appears the chaturbate downloader is down and out for the count.

It has nothing to do with chat downloader,it is if u usedumphelper.For chat downloader only think is an update or a new version but i doubt it will happen unfortunately... :(

But if the man who made it read these lines maybe he'll answer himself(Don't wanna say his name or he'll probably be harrased in PM :)

too late buddy... the creator of chaturbatedownloader was an amazing guy.. i was among his first appreciaters+followers and i had some chats with him in pm...
now that i had no pc for 8 days (whole pc broke/had to buy a new one from motherboard to cpu to gpu and basically build a new one) i started re-installing stuff again and i tried chaturbatedownloader and noticed it doesnt "pick up" any streams... i was heartbroken and obviously tried to pm the creator and my personal hero here on the forums and his pm box was full...
so unfortunately we are right now without a working version and no way to know if he will ever read this post / comment or if there will ever be a working chaturbatedownloader again :( *sob*
p.s - i would also donate towards making a new version of chaturbatedownloader and support the amazing guy that made it in the first place for free for us here if it was possible

I do read these posts and my inbox is full, because everybody keeps private messaging me about it. I stopped development about two months ago (hence the missing release thread, where I posted the downloader) and no new version will be released. Even if I did release a new version, it wouldn't work properly anymore anyway due to the changes made by chaturbate.

that is very sad to hear elgero, yet u are still my hero concerning to this awesome program u made that i used for some what? months?
if its ever possible to re-create a new version and u would wanna spend the time, u did notice me and at least 1 other person are even willing to donate/pay u for ur work on it since ur previous working version was that amazing...
still thanks for the awesome effort and job u put into it before it stopped working, u deserve appreciation for it.

I've had some luck with rtmpdumphelper capturing CB streams but it has some bad limits like only recording one stream at a time and you have to keep the window open on it. It also loses connection when they go group or private.

That said, it captures every model so far so the changes they have made on CB doesn't affect it's ability to find the stream.
