CamStudio is a free screen recorder that has nothing to do with TechSmith.

TechSmith sells Camtasia - an outrageously priced screen recorder.

You can use screen video capture program even if it is free :)

Freecorder can also record Skype calls, but I prefer to use Replay Telecorder or Pamela.

Also is there any Skype recorder that works on Windows Vista???

Thanks for recommending SkypeCap. :) It records skype conversations easily.

But I'm having trouble with recording audio with video :( (at 25 Fps): it always records in PCM (regardless of the audio codec chosen), and on playback in WMP11 the video track (Indeo Video 5) of the video clip is much faster than the audio tracks.

I've tried opening my video clips in different media players (DivX, MPlayer, VLC, etc), and all that has done is render 2 tracks (video, and 1 audio) on each clip unplayable. I think I've ruined all my videoclips.

Can anyone help an IT dinosaur like me :confused: ?

thanks for sharing this tips in recording thru skype. Since skype gives you clear video and audio sound when it comes to conference conversation. Compared to others like yahoo and msn or even team speak were there audio is not really good in quality.
