GetFLV only records 20 seconds of one of its streams. I hope that it can be fixed.

It seems a network sniffer doesn't work to get the correct stream.

When I use WireShark I can find 'app', 'flashVer', 'swfUrl', 'tcUrl' and 'pageUrl', but there's no 'playpath'. tcUrl always points to "rtmp://chat.highwebmedia.com/livechat", which is useless.

Replay Media Catcher says: "*** Encrypted RTMP (RTMPE) has been detected but no playlist was found to provide the connection details ***"

But when I scan the memory of my browser I can find: rtmp://origin.stream.chaturbate.com:1935/live-origin/_definst_/removedusername-sd-814a197cb222ae1c4e0e0df7b263d59c801ae568fa7d8b1132 7a4a3c0bf6fe99

This is the direct link to the stream (removed the username, so won't work now), that can simply be dowloaded with RTMPDump.

Why does Replay Media Catcher say its a RTMPE stream, while it's a RTMP stream? I don't understand :confused:

Does anyone know how to record or even watch streams of CB or MFC when there's an regional block? I never got it working for MFC but for CB, I was able to use a anon proxy from different country to watch but it stopped working since two weeks ago. All I get now is black screen with Error Code 1000 which according to CB support, the model blocked my region. So it seems like CB made it harder now because they knew I was using a proxy.

I use TOR browser to bypass region block and error 1000 , video stream won't load in tor but u cant rightclick the video area and get the stream link , then play it in vlc , good luck

How does it works? Cause I try to use it and all I get is a blank screen. I'm in Win8 (with .NET 4.0 and ffmpeg).

Neat program...I'm running Vista and am having some problems.

- the recording status is RED
- nothing shows up in the records folder?
- when adding model, do you need just their name or the full URL

It should work in both cases.

The author explained the process of recording like this (can be repeated manually):
1. Open model's page
2. View page source
3. Find "playlist.m3u8"
4. Take URL of the playlist
5. Run "ffmpeg -i URL -c:v copy -c:a copy outputdir\outputfile"
6. Profit

All as simple, as possible.
If the recording status is red, you can see ffmpeg process in the task manager.

I downloaded Replay Media Catcher 6 (trial) because I saw that it is recommended, but when I try to download from chaturbate me error while the capture real-time work, have I missed something or you can not download while not watch video?Perhaps the trial version does not allow this?

It depends on the bandwidth available at the time, some models broadcast on more than one site simultaneously (thus decreasing bandwidth compared to single site broadcast). Network factors can also determine how much bandwidth is available, (eg. poor quality WiFi at broadcast end, etc).

Flash will adjust the video stream to cope with available bandwidth.

I've seen this with one model broadcasting on two sites, I get 320x240 on both sites. A couple of hours later when she's broadcasting on one site the resolution has increased to 800x600.

Man, he was explaining what chaturbaterec does (automatically) :p Chaturbaterec can also autorecord (which is a function that i adore) and it is optimized for the site, so it is not exactly comparable... i am amazed it is just 86 KB (sure, it uses massively ffmpeg for almost everything).

Nothing really new. Such programs already exist (by using Livestreamer / RTMPDump instead of FFMPEG). Use what you want, but don't make such ridiculous statements.

Any idea how the auto record function works? I've been using rtmpdumphelper for a while but it always crashes when model goes private/group/crazyticket etc so it stops all my streams. I also use it for MFC but sometime when the model returns from private/group, rtmpdumphelper doesnt start recording again. I have to refresh the stream before it starts again. I'll also look into livestreamer. Any tutorials on livestreamer for CB/MFC?

Download RBTray from SourceForge and run it, any window can then be sent to the Tray by right-clicking the Minimize icon in the window border.

You can restore it by left-clicking the tray icon.

I keep getting chaturebaterec.exe is not a valid Win32 application. And it's not extracting properly. I've tried Winrar and 7zip to extract several times. I am using Vista.

You simply install GetFLV and everything will be ok. I use it in order to watch live match.
