Skype Video call recording: How to record both parties


 
Does anyone know how to record both sides to a Skype style video call so that you can replay both video and audio feeds as one? I have tried using SkypeCap but that seems only capable of recording your own feed and not the person you are speaking with.

Some of the crew at TWIT (Leo LaPorte) created something called Skypezilla. I'm not sure but check into it because I know Leo pretty much records everything he does and Skypezilla was created to do multi-video conferencing. (More than one person). I'm not fully informed but it may be worth looking into.

I haven't found anything about Skypezilla. Do you have any links?

Nightenjail, from the chatroom recommends using CallGraph.in, for Windows or Linux. And word has it that it records the holy grail of skyping … two separate channels! I use HotRecorder on Windows and Audio Hijack Pro on Macintosh.

The Mike Tech Show has figured out how to record Skype on the computer using an application called Podproducer.

Freecorder and MPLAT will also do the job.

Replay Telecorder for Skype (Windows)

Record Video: Select how the video is recorded. Options include:
  • None (Audio Only): No video is recorded.
  • Picture-in-Picture: Record video from both sides of the call in picture-in-picture format.
  • Side by Side: Record video from both sides of the call, with each side taking up half the picture.
  • Local Webcam Only: Only the local webcam will recorded.
  • Remote Webcam Only: Only the remote webcam will recorded.
  • Two Separate Files: Records Local and Remote webcam onto separate video files.

Record Video: Select how the video is recorded. Options include:
  • None (Audio Only): No video is recorded.
  • Picture-in-Picture: Record video from both sides of the call in picture-in-picture format. The recorded video will look exactly as you see it during the call, with your video inset within the remote video.
  • Side by Side: Record video from both sides of the call, with each side taking up half the picture.
  • Local Only: Only the local side (video from your camera) will recorded.
  • Remote Only: Only the remote side (video from the other participant) will recorded.
  • Two Track: Records Local and Remote onto two video tracks within the QuickTime movie. The tracks can then be split into separate video files using QuickTime Player Pro or the included Split Movie Tracks utility.

VodBurner for Windows (released today) records direct from the Skype video stream (both sides) and also has a post-prouction console for editing of both sides into a single video suitable for uploading to YouTube or other services.

you can record Skype video using Replay Telecorder . It's program for recording audio and video calls. It must be helpful to you :)
