My dsl speed is 1.5mb, the best I can get from hulu is about a 100kb/s. I won't try two shows from the same site, but if I download from cbs and hulu each one will download at about 90kb/s. CBS downloads speeds can be higher if I download just one show from their site.

BTW, Have any of you been able to download South Park? GetFLV just crashes every time I try it.

The speed is fixed for live streams. Also when you capture packets from a streaming player, you get stream media from it in real time or as fast as the player buffering the media stream. But when you download an on-demand stream, it can be several times faster than in real time.

I have noticed that GetFLV is crashy. It does seem to be less crashy if only one download is in progress. It also seems to be less crashy on windows 7 compared to XP, and on newer intel cpus compared to some older amd cpus. I don't know the cause of this crashiness.

save2pc Ultimate doesn't crash (for me) at all, even with multiple downloads in progress.

You are absolutely correct about everything, I still wish the software was less crash prone. It would be nice to setup multiple downloads and just let it run overnight. I'm definitely not going to Windows 7 though.

I give up, I've had it with GetFLV. The constant crashes are getting to me. What's the point of having this software if I can only download one show at a time? It crashes even with one download. I'm sick of having to baby sit this software. Crash then restart, crash then restart, it can't even pick up where it left off. I have to start the download from the beginning. It's not worth the money. With the amount of time I'm wasting with this software I could just buy my shows and rip them to my hard drive. :mad:f

My problem with GetFLV crashing has always been caused by slow or erratic Internet speeds. Yes, I can only download one file at the time. Well, I am glad I can still do that since these streams are pretty difficult to grab for downloading, and I can choose which stream to download from. Now, I have a new problem, and it seems to be only with Hulu . Hulu keeps saying "Unfortunately, this video is not available on your platform". This happens with GETFLV and Internet Explorer 8, so I can not watch the video, but I can still download it as usual. I wonder if any of our members are experiencing this problem. It does not happen with Firefox. Of course, Hulu uses Internet Explorer engine for the downloads. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I just downloaded GetFLV version 8.846 and I'm testing it now. I'll let you know if it's any better with the crashing. I'm also having that problem with IE8. Good thing some smart guys invented Firefox huh? A quick Google search only turns up PS3 problems. Maybe the hulu server is confused and thinks IE8 is PS3.

Well it looks like they still haven't stabilized this thing. It bombs quite regularly.
