If you can see the display but no video in the boxes, you're going to need to download a video codec, and your antivirus or pop up blocker isnt letting it through most security codecs may not be electronically signed or microsoft certified and are quite often blocked from even giving you the option to download. This is most common with off brand systems but I have had the same issue with samsung security codecs when trying to view from a computer with high restrictions. I would check the brands website and see if they have video codecs available for download. If you are getting a blank screen then you may need to port forward a range instead of a single port samsung requires a range of 4 ports in sequential order. Ex. 5554-5557. Some routers allow you to open a range. Some routers you have to open each port individually.

I can view it on my computer when i am in the same network, but when i went home and i enter the address of the forwarded port , i can log in right but dont see anything there. I can see the frames and ptz zoom pad but cant see the streaming video

You're going to need to download the specific video codec that your dvr system uses. It obviously isnt a port forward issue because it wouldnt allow you to login if that was the case. Lower your content restrictions and turn off any running antivirus when you open your camera page. The download opens like a popup link at the top of the page its usually an active X controller but like i said before different systems have their own codecs that are unknown by windows certifications which is why the pop up to download gets blocked. I can assist you further with more information on your dvr and computer systems.

It depends on the dvr system that you have. Go to the manufacturers website and see if they have the video codec available for download.

Hi. I am also trying to set up dvr to watch on my iPhone. I have managed to set up through my wifi but am unable to view it away from home. I have followed the sticky post at the start of this post but still no success. I use sky broadband and am using eagle eyes to view cameras. I have a dyndns domain name matched it up between iPhone and sky router but still no joy. What ever i try whether its putting the ip address straight in to router or eagle eyes it just says "cannot connect to this ip address". Is there anyone that could help or give me some advice please. Thanks in advance.

Myq-see.com solved my problem. So now i can view it all across the world using Internet explorer only, other browsers not showing anything.

So I suggest you try creating account at www.myq-see.com

Thanks den a but still not working with the programme you said. I think it has something to do with my router not letting me access my dvr, but don't know how to solve the issue.

My router will only let use dyn.dns.org an wont let my type in any other domain type like myqsee.com. An the dyndns I signed up to is not .org it's .com does this affect it some how?

Yes you have to set port forward as 1st Post says, then 2nd Is www.myq-see.com

Or Check your dvr manual to see
Which type of DVR you use ?

Hi denva I can't not change the IP address on dvr or port I can only change subnet mask, the rest is set automatically.

To recap I have set up dyndns, put that address into my router to allow acces then gone to dvr app on phone and set the address to my dyndns address. Is this all right or am I goin wrong some where?
