someone just pointed out to me somewhere else that the
geo-blocking for the youtube olympics videos are no longer being geo blocked.

hence everyone one in the world can get it,
it might be more "stable" to get a m3u8 link from youtube.com/olympics then from NBC itself.

Well, that would have been nice and all... except for the fact that the video selection on Youtube is different from the ones on NBCOlympics. I can't find any of the Artistic Gymnastics qualifications videos that i'm looking for.

I found a tool the searches cache for video files and merges them if they are split up into pieces... VideoCacheView... you can get it from CNET.

You open it, it searches all internet browser folders and displays a list of videos. You can right-click and refresh to get the most recent cache files. You can right-click and play each one to verify, then you can right-click and save anywhere you want. I sorted by "Last Accessed Date" to get the newest videos that have entered the cache. Pause the video so it doesn't auto-play the next video... sometimes that overwrites the data... but pausing it allows that one to stay in the cache after is finishes buffering the full video.

At exactly 3min30sec mark, I keep getting this clipping error. It keeps going for like a while and then it works again.... wondering if anyone has explanation. It's right when it cuts from volleyball into the semi blank screen. After a long while it then comes back to normal recording....

after recording about 30 something minutes or so , it gives clipping error which eventually is unrecoverable. Help....!!!

Anyone got this type of error trying to download the nbcolympics video?

At about the 34 min or so mark, I got this error for the above video. After that error kept going for about 5 more min, the whole thing stop downloading and i got an invalid file.

Much much appreciated if anyone can see why this is so. I 've tried different resolution, etc and still got this error consistently. Thanks.
